Usefulness. Spanish allows me to travel throughout Latin America.

If I enjoy how it sounds, find it interesting, and enjoy the culture.

My first was Spanish. I needed it to translate for the growing Hispanic customer base at work. Then I simply became addicted. My first concern is similarities, and commonalities. I always study major languages. they are more common and more useful.

I have chosen English mainly for practical reason but I like the language too. As for other languages, it is because they sound cool to me, especially Spanish, and Hungarian. I enjoy learning them, it is more for pleasure though.

I would echo Roger Carmel's reply: Usefulness. Spanish language sounds beautifully, with some pronunciation variations across Latin America.
