  • Are you happy with your life currently?

It's good we use the forums to open up and share our experiences, that way we can make friends easily. But then again it's optional.

Back to the topic. Are you happy with where you are in life? if not what do you think you could have done to change it?

I don't have to work too much, have enough money, I'm looking good, I am not completely stupid, have girl who loves me and I did my 'duty' as man. (children)
I think only a lot of money, I speak about billions could make me happier.

My fate could be much worse

Are you happy with your d... ? The same stupid question... or with your inner life? I mean, what's your character's inner life.

Inner life? What is this dmitri?
We are ALL just fucking narcissists who learned to pretend empathy and fake affection in accordance to our intelligence of the mature personality stage. However the psychopathic child in ALL of us likes to burn ants with a magnification glass in the sunlight. Being a god is maybe the spiritual goal of Buddhism, but it's the only one sincere inner desire of us ALL.
If you still didn't comprehend that, it's very likely too late. This so aside of courtesy and charming behavior who some of us adopted to their more complex personalities, it's everything really simple. The winner takes everything, the loser get nothing and dies without leaving of any trace.
Of course there are other needs, love, affection and intimacy.... but a man doesn't need that, we just play with the illusion that we want it for those who need it.
Inner life ... is really simple. So simple that you can puke if you comprehend the simplification and ego orientation of it.

                I'm living in an age
                That calls darkness light
                Though my language is dead
Still the shapes fill my head

                I'm standing on a stage
                Of fear and self-doubt.
                It's a hollow play
But they'll clap anyway ... Ghosts.

The large ballroom was crowded with familiar ghosts come to help celebrate her birthday.

Considering the bumpy road, I'm happy with my life as it is today. It took me a lot of time to find my path. I stopped the whole coulda/shoulda/woulda thing, it was a waste of energy and trying to fix things all the time only made me more frustrated. I don't know whether the life choices I made recently were the best for me, but I feel more connected to myself and others and that makes me a happy man.

I live in a dead body, I will not be happy until I return to Europe again.

Happiness is like wet laundry out 'drying' in Spring time. ^_^

I could have done a lot to 'change' my life, but then I wouldn't have had all of the experiences leading up to this point in my life.

For example, I could have hugged Virginia on the balcony, when we were both looking at the sunset. I could have kissed her, when she did a 'peek-a-boo' under the desk, when I was fixing her computer. I could have invested the money I got from ICBC into property, instead of trying to create a company that failed hard on me. I could have stood up to the president of the company I was a senior member at and tell him to fuck himself, when he blamed me for messing up some massive print-ups he approved the previous day. I could have accepted the threesome with Lisa and her friend, the night after I took her out for her birthday. I would have accepted Lisa's suckjob invitation, if I wasn't so stupidly dumb years prior. I could have told Sandra she's super hot and just grabbed her ass, when she pulled her skirt to the side to show me her panties during grade 11 math. I could have intelligently advised my dad NOT to give up on Alibaba stocks when it temporarily fell for a few days when it was at its early stage. I could have intelligently advised one of my best friends at the time to take his uncle's offer on property, instead of staying dignified and principled. I could have done XYZ, ABC, 123 and so on and so forth...

Could have, would have, might have, what if...

If I did any of those things, I probably would never have all of the experiences I've had to this point in time. I probably would never have met Amber at Interpals in 2010, went to see her in person in 2012, got married in Germany in 2013, have her immigrate here in 2016, buy an apartment paid in cash, fully in 2017, have a dog, a car, and stuff. I probably would never have dated Cindy, did some amateur porn with, who I had some pretty amazing sexual experiences with. I probably would never have found the really awesome friends I had when I was in elementary school and senior high school, that are still friends with me today. I probably would never had a threesome with Ember (not Amber) and her girlfriend. I would probably never have met Erica (Wigglewurm). I would probably never have been a moderator at Interpals. I would probably never have reunited with Albert. I would probably never have met Agata and Chuin. I would probably never have used Quora and became one of the Top 10 Most Viewed Writers in the Relationship category, out of over 200 million members. ^_^ I would probably never have done XYZ, ABC, 123...

                      ------------

TL, DR: Being 40 and my wife being 31 is pretty neat. When she was 20, some of my friends asked if she was of legal age, after they saw her picture. ^_^ It would have been pretty messed up if I was 30 dating a teenager. o__o Regardless, my life is not bad at age 40, but could always be more fulfilling. The wifey and I are working on it. We're exercising (weights, cardio, jogging, etc) together 5 days out of the week. Though, she's interested in finding a girlfriend for herself, who is bi.

Wow I get it. I guess it's good we appreciate all the things we done and not cry over things we didn't do! I'm happy for you and Amber. Wigglewurm(Erica) and Gotterkind(Brad) were the top 2 posters here in 2007 - 2009 it's a shame they both left. It's good to see people that still remember the forums back then haha..
