                    There's nothing to celebrate, it was just a victory (considering the number of human losses I would dare to call it a pyrrhic one) of one totalitarian state over another. It was almost 80 years ago and it still resonates in Eastern and Cental Europe as these countries still are trying to get up from the failure of central-planned economy. As for Russians taking pride in their military, you're a laughing stock for me, you masturbate to military parades and it just takes a minute to check the google street view to see that most of the towns look like shitholes. But at least the feable ego of Russians gets fed "we might be poor as fuck, but at least our country is an empire".
