  • Slavic folk music

I'm looking for some Slavic folk music. I mean something like Russian Arkona or Polish Percival. Language doesn't matter. I will be grateful for all ideas.

And of course, Russian folk band "Melnitsa"...though they have more Celtic and Scandinavian touch in their music. Older releases were more 'Slavic' , I suppose.

I always loved Melnista band. Lovely music . I wish to understand their lyrics. I guess they sung only one english song(Master of the wind in 2004) . Are there anymore english songs?

Can you help me with some of their songs which sounds more 'Slavic'? I do have their old discography but everything is written in russian, so really tough to identify which song is what.

You taste for example this great old australian band. DCD not only plays directly traditional Slavic music, but the music of whole medieval Europe..

Владислав, мельница - это русская фолк группа, но поют они скандинавский фолк.

Who will measure my way, who will change my destiny
That is engraved me of old cold sword
I wander all the life in the maze of roads
And the burden of the death of the right shoulder.
Every day is a new battle, every day is old fear
And from the path of fate did not collapse
But I'll be back home in the old castle in the mountains
When will be the end of my path.

Do not cheat fate and do not buy love
If even give a life or a death or a handful of silver
And cold steel will fall under your feet again of
                            Balance of good and evil.
Let burns fate in the ritual fires
Let the world change the essence
But I'll be back home in the old castle in the mountains
When will be the end of my path.

Not for the flag and coat of arms or not for a list of victories
You do not understand, where art and where the craft
Seven steps through fear, seven steps through the delirium
If you was still alive you is lucky.
And when you get tired of me with the death of play
                            Life let me rest
But I'll be back home in the old castle in the mountains
When will be the end of my path.
