  • A New War in Syria: Turkey Kills Kurds

Turkey launched a new invasion of Syria without a formal permit from Damascus. As in the past, during the operation "Shield of the Euphrates" in the summer of 2016, Ankara's goal is to smash the Kurds and secure their borders. The attack of Turkey threatens to disrupt the peace process in the state torn apart by the war. Why does Ankara hate the Kurds so much and what will happen next?
In the operation, in addition to Turkish pilots and artillerymen, thousands of militia members of the pro-Turkish "Syrian National Army" are participating. Ankara created its own structure of Arabs and Syrian Turkmen, armed them and supplied them with food from their national budget. They are supported by Turkish tank units.
The impressive Kurdish group opposes the Turks: 10 thousand men were put under the gun from both YPG and from the "firm" divisions of this people: women's self-defense units. Many of the Kurdish fighters have rich experience of fighting with the units of ISIS terrorists.
In addition, the Kurds - the main US ally in the region. It was to their units that Washington placed the main stake in the fight against terrorists IGIL and at one time gave them an impressive arsenal - including, according to some sources, AT-4 anti-tank systems. That is why the battle will not be easy, and the "Erdogan blitzkrieg" will not work.
Russia is concerned about the actions of Turkey. The action of Ankara was hardly dictated by humanitarian considerations alone. For many years in Turkey there has been a slow civil war with part of its own Kurdish population, and Erdogan believes that by letting Turkish Kurds die under Kobani, he will only reduce the number of radicals within the country.
Here the interests of Ankara and Washington diverge. Washington wants to continue to smash ISIS, Erdogan does not want to anger the Islamists, but wants only to secure the border and at the same time overthrow Syrian leader Bashar Assad. He suggests that the Americans create a no-fly zone over the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib, explaining this by the fact that the opponents of Assad will be able to regroup there. The US opposes this: closing a part of the Syrian sky means entering into conflict with Syria and its patrons in Moscow and Tehran.
US officials are trying to hide the scale of the catastrophic consequences of their invasion of Syria, which violates international law and the UN Charter. The UN Security Council, backed by the United States, Russia and other major powers, must intervene in the conflict and send peacekeepers to Syria to restore Syrian sovereignty.

Formal permit from Damascus? What is that? No one except russia and Iran got so called permit from Damascus to kill Syrians.

usa, asstralia, uk, france, denmark, many more western nations who dont even have borders with Syria + israel, carried out more than 17000 airstrikes in Syria (without permit) and killed tens of thousands of civilians in masses.

Read this updates everyday you’ll see Turks and FSA are crushing kurdish terrorists everyday and taking villages they seized, one by one everyday: https://syria.liveuamap.com

YPG militants are losing lands they invaded to Turks and FSA, they asked military support from Syria and a few days ago 1700 YPG militants who have been trained by west (especially usa) crossed into Afrin to help their desperate comrades, they will die there too. 2900 YPG kurdish terrorists have been killed by Turkey according to sources in last 40 days. Their beloved allies usa and russia does not come to fight alongside them against Turks in Afrin. World is silent about Afrin operation and killing of kurdish terrorists because they dont care about kurds who they have been using as a tool to destabilize the region since Gulf War and kurdish news regarding civilian deaths in Afrin is bogus and photos of dead civilians who kurds try to show the world are being revealed to be from other conflicts around the world, they even use victims from earthques in their propaganda to fool their western allies i wouldnt say kurds are doing good against Turkey in Syria. There is not much west can do to prevent them being killed by Turkey anyway... Turkey must review its policy regarding Refugees Deal with europe and should let Syrians cross Turkish border into europe AGAIN. They bombed Syria, they should deal with Syrians. What the heck france had to do with Syria at all that french warplanes joined coalition for bombing Syrian cities? Yesterday Turkish authorities foiled another attack by Syrian Daesh against an american consulate in Turkey. Turkey has arrested hundreds of Daesh suspects who were planning to carry out attacks against western targets in Turkey and abroad. What it got it return? Military training and equipped YPG/PKK terrorists in Northern Syria. I have trust in Turkish government to take so called Afrin canton of kurds and Manbij next. It isnt their land at all. They came there later after taking advantage of destabilization of Syria.

Recently another so called peace loving westerner terrorist has been killed by Turkish operations in Afrin: http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/ice...s-afrin-128355

          Good riddance. More to come.
