I read a review about salaries in the USA for programmers. I cannot find the link on this article now unfortunately. Functional languages were in Top-10.
Do you have an experience in functional programming?
Are these languages popular now? I read that functional programming became more popular lately, but I don't know any big project which was created in a functional language.
What do you think about perspectives of functional programming?

You have R program language. This language refers on huge Data Bases, and some operations on them. I'd don't know how R works but i heard that R programmers are very well paid, but none want to work in R, because it is very hard to understand. It is on higher level of abstraction.
